Nomad Tours own what must be one of the most stunningly located villas in the whole of Greece. The views from the terrace are magnificent, the sun shines on the Villa all day long and at night it is possible to hear the waves lapping at the shore line.

The Villa is located on a hillside overlooking Lakka Bay on the magical island of Paxos.
It faces South West and is thus a glorious Sun Trap with some spectacular sun sets.
The grounds are surrounded by virgin forest and contain many Olive and Lemon trees. The grounds go right down to the sea and it is literally possible from the drive way to jump straight into the sea and swim across to the numerous bars and restaurants.

The accommodation is laid out on the top floor and consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms lounge/dining room and kitchen. Running along both the front and one side of the villa is a large covered terrace. Each of the bedrooms have air conditioning. Ceiling fans are installed in the lounge and terrace. In summer 2008 the lower floor of the Villa will be modernized to provide a further two en-suite bedrooms.

Paxos is the smallest of the seven Ionian Islands. It is located 14 Km south of Corfu and 20 Km west of Parga on the mainland. It covers an area of approximately 19 sq. kms and is one of the cluster of picturesque small islands set in the Ionian Sea.
To the South of Paxos is the Island of Anti-Paxos with beautiful white sandy beaches.
The island has not suffered from mass tourism. It does not have an airport or any large hotel complexes. It can only be reached by ferry, Hydro-Foil or sea plane.  Paxos has a resident population of only around 2,300.
Abundant flora and fauna make it a favourite with amateur botanists and ornithologists, especially in spring. Home to a quarter of a million olive trees, it is also reputed to give the best olive oil in the world.

There are three main villages - Gaios, Lakka and Loggos.
The Villa over looks Lakka, the northern port of Paxos set in a gorgeous horse shoe shaped bay and flanked by high ground covered in olive and cypresses trees. The bay which is almost completely sheltered from the open sea is excellent for swimming and water sports.

The village is characterised by friendly people, narrow streets, cobbled yards and small squares with open air tavernas and bars. It all combines to provide an authentic Greek atmosphere. There are numerous small shops and a local bakery. There is a good choice of restaurants too.

A Sea Taxi is based in Lakka. So it is possible to arrange pick up from either the mainland or Corfu and be taken to the pier directly in front of the Villa. Individual boat hire is also available as are excursions on various tourist boats including one with a glass bottom.

There are some great walks around Lakka with several tracks leading inland or along the coast for spectacular cliff side views.

Lakka bay itself has two beaches; the largest is Harami with sun bathing loungers for rent and water sports including water skiing on offer. At the head of the bay is a small pebble beach called Kanoni.

To the East of Lakka are the beaches of Arkoudaki, Orkos and Monodendri. The latter has a very nice beach restaurant and water sports centre.

Gaios is a charming port town spread out along the waterfront. The harbour has two entrances. At the Northern entrance is a small Island called Panayia (Virgin Mary) on which there is a splendid white monastery.

At the Southern entrance to the harbour is the island of St Nicholas. It forms a natural breakwater protecting Gaios. On the Island there are two small churches, St. Nicholas and St. Ioannis and an old Venetian fort.

Loggos is a very quiet fishing village with a picturesque harbour fronted by tavernas and small bars. It has some of the best restaurants on the island.

Just south of Loggos is a beautiful single beach called Levericho which has a beach taverna. Going south and off the main road are the beaches of Kipos and Marmari. The latter set in a very pretty bay with the advantage of shade from the olive trees that grow right down to the shoreline.

Mongonissi is at the southern tip of Paxos and is a delightful place to spend the day. The beach is sandy, there is very good taverna which is open all day and in the evening there is Greek Dancing.
Anti Paxos is just a short distance of the southern point of Paxos. It is famous for the clear blue sea and white sandy beaches. During the summer, boats run frequently from Gaios, Lakka and Loggos.
The island is essentially uninhabited, but in the summer people go across to attend the many small vineyards. Anti Paxos wine can be bought in the local shops in Paxos.

The two main beaches on the island are at the north end called Vrika and Voutoumi. Vrika is sandy, Voutoumi's shore line is pebble but under foot in the water there is white sand. Here you have some of the finest clear blue seas imaginable.

South of these two beaches and surrounding the rest of the island are many smaller, more private coves that can be reached without too much difficulty.

A great day out from Paxos is to hire a boat cruise across to Anti Paxos anchor safely, walk along the foot paths of Anti-Paxos to the light house on the Southern tip and to then have lunch at the beach taverna before cruising back along the west coast of Paxos

The sea caves are stunning, quite the best anywhere in the Greek islands and some are large enough to take pleasure boats.

The cave at Kastanitha is the most impressive at 600 ft high but the largest is at Grammatiko

The cliffs above Erimitis bay are also impressive, particularly at sunset and the Sunset Bar is a very popular place in the evening.
