Together with my Omani partners we set up Nomad tours with the ambition of offering affordable Guest House Accommodation and tours to Budget conscious travellers.
Tourism is still in its embryonic phase in Oman and thus competition to drive down prices is not as it should be. Our prices are still higher than we would wish them to be because there are simply not the numbers to fill the boats and the cars
But we take great pride in the reviews of our Guest house which commonly mention “Value for money”. With the friendly atmosphere at the guest House often guests get together and share the cost of the various tours we offer.
We can help you organize :
Muscat city tours
Land Tours,Sea Tours
Big Game fishing
Camping equipment hire etc
I am an Expat who has lived in Oman for 18 years I am still absolutely in love with the place. My two sons, one of which was born here both want to come back and reside in the country they call home.
It is sad to me that Oman has got a reputation as an expensive destination. We are going to try and change that and put Oman on the backpackers “Bucket List” coming soon will be Oman-Backpackers.com.
Oman needs the younger generation to visit this beautiful place to trek in the mountains, to see the stars at night in the desert, to camp on the beaches and see the dolphins and flamingos, to swim in the wadi pools, and to experience the wonderful Bedouin hospitality.
And then to go home with the most wonderful memories and tell their mates on Facebook and Twitter, or even the old fashioned way of just giving them a call and then to ultimately return with their own kids.
That’s sustainable Tourism !
When I get inquiries from those only planning to visit for a few days, asking me what they should do ... I am at a loss, there is so much to do.... I have been doing it for 18 years and still I want more !!
Come to Oman, with the kids, if possible and enjoy the Jewel in the Middle East
